We announce the death of Billy Maynard Weems (Quitman, Texas), who passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 87. Billy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Maynard and Bessie Ann Weems; his wife Eva Jane Weems; his sister Jo Ruth Ziegler; and his great grandchild Walker Alan Weems.
He is survived by: his children, Don Weems (Tanya), Kent Weems (Laura Lee) and Kristi Bridges (Rocky) of Quitman; his sisters, Nita Dobbs of Tyler and Judy Ethridge (Ed) of Tomball; his sister-in-law Kathy Ellis of Carrollton; his grandchildren, Lauren, Clay Hightower, Jody, Heather Weems, Kevin, Leah Weems, Lindsey, Brandon Davidson, Colby, Consondra Bridges, Josh, Skylar Weems, Kyle and Hannah Bridges; and his great grandchildren, Lucas, Isaac, Abigail Hightower, Tucker Weems, Judah, Asher, Evelyn, Norah Weems, Lincoln, Charlee Davidson, Naliana, Navia, Arya, Aliza Bridges, Weston, Ellie Weems, Riley, Gentry and Beau Bridges. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
