With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ferrel Don Gowins of Quitman, Texas, born in Emory, Texas, who passed away on February 19, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Gowins and Thelma Lee Gowins; his wife Kathryn Gowins; his brother James Leroy Gowins; and his son-in-law Kris Doyle.

He is survived by : his daughter Marianna Doyle of Emory, Texas; his siblings, Ruth House of Dallas, Texas, Pryor Gowins of Emory and Allen Gowins; and his granddaughters, Amanda Siebenthaler (David) and Kaitlin Doyle. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
