It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Reed Phillips (Rankin, Texas), who passed away on February 3, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Amanda Cumi and Henry Herbert Phillips; and his spouse Gyndolen Beauchamp. He is survived by : his children, Renee (Dane Lee) of Rankin and Byron Phillips of Rankin; his granddaughters, Brittnee (Jesse Sanchez) of Rankin and Logan (Dusty Kilgore) of McCamey Texas; his niece Debbie (Bruce Krebbs) of Barttlesville Oklahoma; his sister-in-law Jo Beth Wright; and his great grandchildren, Kyler Sanchez, Hudson Sanchez, Easton Kilgore and Madden Kilgore.
In lieu of flowers a scholarship fund will be set up at the The First State Bank of Rankin for students pursuing a career in welding and other blue collar trades.
