He was predeceased by: his parents, Mauro Armendarez and Estefana Armendarez; his wife Frances Grizzle; his daughter Donna Thomas; and his brothers, Eddie (Lalo), Juan, Abel and Richard Armendarez.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sheri Armendarez and Vickie Leverenz (Mark); his siblings, Antonia Castaneda, Elvira Aguirre (Jose Luis), Armando Armendarez, Linda Rodriguez, Gilda Lopez (Nieves), Gloria Sifuentes (Andres), Aida Ramirez (Gilbert), Jimmy Armendarez (Rogelia) and Rosemary Ferguson (Rick); his granddaughters, Renee Lovett (John), Natalie Jones, Ericka Slatton (Mike), Julia Robinson and Tanya Hoover (Travis); and his great grandchildren, Alayna Lee Slatton (Layni) and Carey Jade Hoover. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rankin Park Building. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Rankin Cemetery.
