She was predeceased by : her parents, Ima Mitchell (Tedders) and A. G. Mitchell; her brother Billy Talmadge Mitchell; her granddaughter McKenzie Lee Hocott; and her brothers-in-law, Lester Shed, Jerry Hocott, Curtis Lengefeld and Bill Foster.

She is survived by : her husband Kendall Hocott of Raymondville; her son Dane; her daughter-in-law Charlotte Hocott of Mission; her granddaughters, Alexandra Hocott, Victoria Hocott of College Station and Olivia Hocott of Mission; her sister Shirley Shed of San Antonio; her cousin Robin Shed of Raymondville; her sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Mitchell of Somerset, Sue Ella Foster of Austin, Sandra Lengefeld of Alpharetta and Dorothy Hocott of Pearland; her close friend Lynda Soles; and her caregiver Pilar Trapala. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
