He is survived by: his wife Carol Howell Smith; his brother Myron Neal Smith; and his daughters, Tammy Smith (Chance Erwin) of Midlothian, Texas, Libby Armato (Joseph Armato) of Colleyville, Texas and Meg Flint (Paul Flint) of Arlington, Texas. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
