He was predeceased by : his parents, John Willcox and Viola Mae Willcox (Carver); his brothers, William "Bill" Willcox and Joseph "Joe"; his close friend John Perry; and his pets, Astro, Skippy, Buddy and Sadie.

He is survived by : his wife Diane; his children, Elizabeth of Titusville, Sarah Mae of Rockwall, Matthew Kenney (Christina) of Kemp and Austin James of Red Oak, Texas; his grandchildren, Sarah Nicole, Hayden Wesley and Jase Matthew; and his pet Marley.
