He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Lee Manning Sr. and Mattie Norton Manning; and his sisters, Scentral Louise Manning Moore and Cora Lee Manning Farley. He is survived by: his wife Nona Manning; his children, Arthur Manning, Herman Manning Jr. and Sophia Pickney; and his siblings, Mattie Manning Richardson, Shirley Manning Duty, Virgil Lee Manning Jr. (Dorothy), Cardell Manning (Shirley) and Melvin Manning (Juanita). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many treasured friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hamilton Park United Methodist Church (11881 Schroeder Rd, Dallas, TX 75243).
