She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl McCrary and Hannah McCrary; her husband Farris Ashe; and her sister Montine Dills. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Elliott (Rob) and Nancy Wooldridge (Tim); and her grandchildren, David Elliott (Sydney), Kristen Stafford (Jeff), John Wooldridge (Taylor) and Ashlee Scott (Ethan). She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan's Purse, an organization dear to her heart.
