He is survived by: his wife Ly Ngoc Vu Tran; his child Dr. Trung D Tran (Mimi Vuong Tran); his grandchild Dr. Tien Tran (Jackie Phan); his children, Dr. Thi Tran and Dr. Tinou Roncone (Chris Roncone); his grandchildren, Nicky and Matthew; his child Dr. Michou Shell (Jeff Shell); his grandchildren, Sloane and Sutton; his child Trinh Tran (Trinh Vo-Tran); and his grandchildren, Finley and Ellie.

In lieu of flowers, the Tran family asks that donations be made to a cause very dear to their family.
