He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Merton Key and Joan Porter Roberts; and his stepparents, Patrica Ann Brown Key and Denver Roberts. He is survived by: his significant other Lisa Carol Williams; his siblings, Robert Merton Key, Jr. (Carol), Karen Key Scott and Annette Key Mallard (Lee); and his stepsiblings, Lisa Hudson (Mark), Mitchell Weldin (Sharon), Kelley Weldin, Randy Roberts (Stephenie) and William Roberts. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church (3300 Austin Pkwy, Sugar Land, TX 77479).
