He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gregorio Salas Carrillo (Antonia Fagerola Carrillo) and Antonia Fagerola Carrillo; his brothers, Gregorio Carrillo Jr., Raul Carrillo and Gonzalo Carrillo; his daughters, Crystal Carrillo, Yvonne Carrillo Garcia (Andrew) and Yvette Carrillo Leos (Daniel); and his siblings, Hermila Hernandez (late Sixto), Armando Carrillo (Alicia), Juanita Velasco and Maria Irma Sevallez. He was also cherished by his thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
