We announce the death of Ronald Travis Grimes of Richmond, Texas, born in Livingston, Texas, who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 74. Ronald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Trumon "J. T." Grimes and Leah Pace; his stepfather Myers Pace; and his former wife Sharon Grimes. He is survived by: his wife Linda Grimes; his son John Grimes; his daughter-in-law Catherine Lococo; his mother-in-law JoAnn Sanders; his stepmother June Grimes; his brothers-in-law, David Sanders, Rick Jefferson, Roane Lacy and Raymond Minyard; and his nieces and nephews, Matthew Jefferson (Vicki), Patrick Jefferson (Claudette), Andrew Jefferson (Lauren), Ben Lacy (Noell), Jane Talebi (Hani) and Cate Geralds (Jon). He is also survived by many other nephews, nieces, cousins, family, and friends.

Memorials may be made to Yellowstone National Park or Big Bend National Park.
