He was predeceased by: his parents, Mauo and Asaeli of Tongoleleka. He is survived by: his children, Viliami Saufo'i Asaeli (Elisapeti), Mele Letele Rivera (Jerry) and Va'etapu Uluakiola (Mofuike); his wife Losa Ta'ufo'ou; his daughter Lavinia; and his siblings, Amilani Moa, Lilio Mafile'o, Ana Liliumi Sinclair, Haitelenisia (Asaeli), Folau (Asaeli), Rev. Tevita Tu'inauvai (Asaeli), Samisoni (Asaeli) and Kilisi Finau. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
