He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Smith and Merril Smith; and his brothers, Donnie Ray and Terry Lee Smith. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Byerley Smith; his children, Joshua Smith, Matthew Brown and Melissa Brown; and his granddaughter Macey Rae Brown.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Country Tabernacle Church (5818 FM 666, Robstown, TX 78380). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (8819 US-87, Victoria, TX 77904).
