He was predeceased by: his parents, Raul Campos Mesa and Olivia Leal Mesa; his siblings, David Mesa, Rumaldo Mesa, Raul Mesa and Yolanda Mesa; and his granddaughter Dionne Paige Gauna.
He is survived by: his wife Guadalupe Lerma Mesa; his children, Mario Mesa Jr. (Stephanie), Charlene Caceres (Juan) and Sally Ymbert (Ismael); and his siblings, Ismael Mesa (Maricela), Armando Mesa (Gracie) and Cynthia Mesa. He is also survived by grandchildren; his three adored great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless dear friends.
