He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Buck and Lillian Marjorie Buck; and his brothers, Kenneth Buck and Robert Buck. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Voorhis Buck; his children, Terri Buck of Phoenix and Matthew Buck (Sarah) of Arvada, Colorado; his grandsons, Nathan James Buck and Stryder Stephen Buck; and his siblings, Barbara Buck Turner (Bob) and Michael Buck (Nancy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund or The Lamar Volunteer Fire Department.
