He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Eugene Patchin and Phyllis Mask Patchin. He is survived by: his brother Carl Eugene Patchin, Jr. (Cindy Patchin); his wife Lisa Kegel Patchin; Dominique Patchin Bauer (Jason Ray Bauer), Riley Thomas Bauer, Alyssa Rae Bauer of Rockport, Texas, Stuart Ross Patchin (Erica Ann Patchin), Caroline Emma Patchin of Corpus Christi, Texas, Katrina Patchin Greiner (Jonathan Carl Greiner), Jackson Carl Greiner and Annabelle Claire Greiner of San Antonio. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions will gladly be received in his memory by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
