He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfathers, Captain Floyd Smith and South of Texas; his grandson William "Will"; his friends, Aransas, Copano and San Antonio Bays; his mother Carol Smith of Rockport; his children, Sarah (Philip) of Austin and Will Smith of Rockport; his granddaughters, Lily, Elle and Penny; and his siblings, Bob (Abel) of Rockport and Kathy (Michael) of Rockport. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
