Alice Brent Thornton Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Alice Brent Thornton in Rockwall, Texas. Alice, born on October 7, 1935, passed away on September 5, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alice Brent Thornton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kermit Jarreau and Verna Jarreau; her husband Bob Thornton; her son Bret Thornton; her grandson James Glenn Wilson; and her siblings, Joe, Alvin and Jean.
She is survived by: her daughters, Allison Wilson (Glenn) and Wendee Fleck (Jim); her grandchildren, Brooke Kennemer (Coyt), Corey Thornton (Kellie), Emily Thornton, Makenzie Thigpen, Alex Fleck, Courtney Fleck, Connor Thornton and Hailey Fleck; and her great grandchildren, Logan, Kylie Thornton, Lakelyn Kennemer and Elaina Thigpen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Grove Hill Funeral Home (3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Rest Haven (2500 TX-66, Rockwall, TX 75087).
