With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Braeden Ross DeFrees of Rockwall, Texas, born in Waco, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 20, 2025 at the age of 37. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Bobby Joe Thompson and Billy Ray DeFrees. He is survived by: his parents, Karie Lea DeFrees of Waco, TX and Dwayne Allen DeFrees; his wife Hileana Tamez DeFrees of Rockwall, TX; his sons, Leonardo André DeFrees and Christopher Ross DeFrees; his sisters, Braylie Paige DeFrees of Waco, TX and Brooke DeFrees Schafer (Luke) of Fayetteville, AR; his niece Locke Schafer; and his grandmothers, Nelda Thompson of Waco, TX and Billie Faye DeFrees.
