He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud Akard and Lois Akard. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Lynn Woody Akard; his daughter Brandy Akard Lloyd (Nicholas) of Garrison, Texas.; his grandchildren, Keyla Moore, Kyas Moore of Timpson and Stryker Lloyd of Garrison; his great grandchild Kroy Malachi Mikahl Moore of Timpson, Texas.; his siblings, Patty Landreth (Scotty), Cindy Akard (Billy Jack Wilkerson), Neal Akard (Peggy) of Antlers, Oklahoma. and Kenneth Akard (Connie) of Antlers, Oklahoma.; and his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Tomlinson of Rockwall and Cindy Brown of New York. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home - Rockwall (2500 TX-66, Rockwall, TX 75087). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Lake Pointe Church Food Pantry. Donations can be made by check, payable to Lake Pointe Church, with "LP Food Pantry" and "Danny Akard" noted in the memo line.
