He was predeceased by: his parents, George Choate and Janis Choate; and his brother Andy Choate. He is survived by: his wife Judy Choate; his sons, Eric (Chandler Choate) and Jason (Fancie Choate); his grandchildren, Caytie (Ruger Carstens), Candace Cornelius, Chandler (Jacob Lorance), Preston Choate, Cylie (Joseph Colunga), Carmen (Zac Strader) and Noah Choate; his great grandchildren, Everleigh Cornelius, Kensington Ozbun, Hudson Lorance, Oakley Romero, Madyx Romero, Brooks Strader, Benjamin Strader and Rory Lorance; and his sisters, Frances (Toby Tyler), Kathy Choate (Paul) and Patricia (George Howell).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that, in honor of David, donations be made by donating a tree or to the American Cancer Society in support of pancreatic cancer research.
