He was predeceased by: his parents, J. R. Keel and Ima Keel (McCormack); his wife Nancy; his daughter Kathy Talley; and his siblings, Lyndall and Juanita.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Taylor (Jim) and Kay Talley; his son-in-law Phil Talley; and his grandchildren, Megan Taylor, Emily Conway (Cory), Courtney Ashley (John), Matthew Talley, Kevin Talley, Christopher Talley (Amy) and Cody Talley (Mikaela). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
