It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Kenneth Shields of Rockwall, Texas, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Richard Shields and Ruth Marie Stanton; and his nephew Joseph Hatak. He is survived by: his significant other Maureen Rosenkranz; his children, Tracey Elliott (Michael) and Lisa Hall (Jeremiah); his grandchildren, Lia, Zachary Elliott, Jeremiah Jr. (Ploy), Madeline and Claire Hall; his son Kyle Rosenkranz; his grandchildren, Shnea Biggins (William), Evan, Aidan and Declan Biggins; his pet Zelda; his sister Diane Hatak; and his niece Ruth Phillips (Mark).
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home - Rockwall (2500 TX-66, Rockwall, TX 75087). A reception will be held on Friday, January 2nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Unified Care Hospice of Dallas, Texas, whose extraordinary compassion and care brought great comfort to Don and his family.
