He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon J. "Jack" Packer and Flora Marie Shipp; his brother Vernon Packer; his son Clint Packer; and his great grandchild Matthew Rojas.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Holton Packer of Rockwall, TX; his sons, Brett Packer (Sherry) of Rockwall and Jack Packer (Amy) of Rockwall; his grandchildren, Alicia Packer Rojas (Carlos), Laura Packer Bauer (Danny), Jack Packer and Dallas Packer; his great grandchildren, Ella, Kylie, Judah Bauer, Luke and Sophie Rojas; his brother Roddy Packer (Linda) of Parker, TX; and his nieces and nephews, Robert Packer, Steven Packer, Heath Packer, Rick White, Roger Holton, Erik Jones, Shawn Jones, Kim Packer, Rachel Champlin and Dawn Tipton. He is also survived by many great-nephews and nieces, and other extended family.
