He was predeceased by: his parents, Diane Luby Hogan and Joe Lawrence Collins; his sister Caree Arceneaux; and his stepfather John Patrick Luby. He is survived by: his children, Joe David Collins Jr. and Grace Elizabeth Collins; and his sisters, Cavette Davis (Glenn Davis) and Charla Yelle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
