It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Ray Gilbert of Rockwall, Texas, born in Beaumont, Texas, who passed away on November 23, 2021, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva and Ausby; and his siblings, James Gilbert, Margie Piper, Patricia Whiting and Linda Gilbert.

He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Yvette" Gilbert; his children, Everett Gilbert, LaQreshia Brooks, Keanna Gilbert and Kendra Gilbert; his grandchildren, Kyla Brooks, Kobe Cole, Kason Brooks-Wahrlich and Ezra Gilbert; his siblings, Leon Gilbert, Cozelle "Paul" Gilbert, Tommy Gilbert, Stella Jones, Rose Gilbert, Sherlan Roach and Kim Gilbert; his nephews, J. C. Lee III and James "Jimmy" Roach; and his goddaughter Wendy Smith Along. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
