He is survived by: his wife Sharon Anne Sawyer Hesser; his son Michael Andrew "Andy" Hesser (Tifani Edwards Hesser); his grandchildren, Madison, Andrew and Finn; his son Matthew Byron Hesser (Shana Steeves Hesser); his grandchildren, Harper and Savannah; his siblings, John Martin Hesser and Constance L. Hesser Semple "Connie"; and his stepsister Pam Worley Broady.
In place of flowers, the family urges people to donate to the Widow and Victims Fund at their local Police Department because Larry regularly donated back to the departments that hired him.
