She was predeceased by: her parents, Kate Elizabeth Carter and Richard Rollie Carter; her husband Jimmy Wayne Courson; and her grandson Matthew Thomas Dunn. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Dunn (Larry) of Dallas, TX, Cindy Bietendorf (Alan) of Rockwall, TX, Kris Courson (Frances) of Helena, AL and Kyle Courson (Dayna) of Flowery Branch, GA.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
