He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Slaydon and Creola Slaydon; his wife Billie Slaydon; his siblings, Robert Slaydon, Leland Slaydon and Sue Slaydon; and his son-in-law Larry Weaver.
He is survived by: his children, Bob Slaydon (Cathy) of Midlothian, Mike Slaydon (Lisa) of Plymouth, Indiana, Susan Weaver of Rockwall and Sherri Due (Keith) of Rockwall; his grandchildren, Patrick Weaver (Terri) of Midlothian, Sunny Stephens (Eric) of Bryan, Lindsay Stuebe (Jason) of Humble, Stephanie McKee (Matthew) of Houston, Avery Due of Rockwall, Matthew Lafayette Slaydon of Indianapolis and Chandler Due of Rockwall; and his great grandchildren, Gwenyth Weaver of Midlothian, Caden Stuebe of Humble, Camden Weaver of Midlothian, Callen Weaver of Midlothian, Addison Stuebe of Humble, Owen McKee of Houston, Ellie Stephens of Bryan and Liam McKee of Houston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
