He was predeceased by: his father James L. "Jim" Ervin. He is survived by: his mother Charlotte A. Ervin; his children, Seth, Sydnee, Sarah and Sophee Ervin; his sisters, Elizabeth (Rick Schweik) and Courtney (Rob Kraner); his siblings' children, Keaton Kraner, Kylie Kraner, Koen (Melissa Kraner), Connor (Sarah Schweik) and Griffin Schweik; and his close friend Mary Garcia.
