He is survived by: his wife Emily; his mother Linda McCann of Dallas, Texas; his uncle James; his cousins, Clint, Jason and Ashley; his children, Dylan, Joseph and Ella Grace of Heath, Texas; his sister Lara Smith (David); his nephews, Henry and Chuck of Highland Park, Texas; his niece Annie; his mother-in-law Jefferie "Mimi" Clark of Kerens, Texas; his brothers-in-law, Brad Sanders of Kerens, Texas and Bryan Sanders (Leana); his nieces and nephews, Jesse of Smithville, Texas and Bryan; and his great-nephew Braden Sanders (Katlyn) of Jacksonville, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make time to do the things Scott loved best—sit outside with a warm fire, cold drinks, good music, and close friends. Donations may also be made in Scott's honor to the Supportive Care Center at the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
