He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Merle Smith and Helen Margaret Smith (Thomas); and his wife Genny Smith. He is survived by: his children, Laurie Lagerberg (Jeff) and Richard Smith (Leah); and his grandchildren, Adam Lagerberg, Brett Lagerberg (Lauren), Rachel Smith and Lauren Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
