He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrosio Cantu and Bertha Cantu (Gonzales); his son Angel Cantu; and his siblings, Julia Navarro, Eulalia Martinez, Louisa Rodriguez, Amado Cantu and Richard Cantu.
He is survived by: his wife Ester Cantu of Roscoe, Texas; his children, Dolores Herrera (Edward) of Roscoe, Texas and Andy Cantu, Jr. (Brandy) of San Angelo, Texas; his grandchildren, Justin Herrera, Lauren Herrera, Jonathan Herrera and Lincoln Herrera; and his sister Olivia Hernandez of Albuquerque. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
