He was predeceased by : his wife Beatrice Ramirez; his parents, Amado Ramirez and Isabel Ramirez; his sons, Joe Saldua, Felipe Saldua and David Saldua; and his siblings, Severino Ramirez, Antonio and Mary Palacios.

He is survived by : his daughter Marilyn Saldua (Jesse Cano); his grandchildren, Jennifer Gutierrez (Thomas), Esther Meza (Alex Ramirez) and Daniel Meza Jr.; his great grandchildren, Manuel Cuellar, Michael Cuellar, Marc Cuellar, Isaiah Meza, Jonah Meza, Dominic Ramirez and Celeste Ramirez; and his brother Luis Ramirez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends.
