He was predeceased by: his parent Antoinette Marie Reed. He is survived by: his wife Pat; and his children, Denise Poynter (Kevin), Debbie Whitmire (Brett), Donna Cavanaugh (Ken), Mark and Candie Reed. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Theresa Catholic Church (705 St Theresa Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77498). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Gene Reed to Catholic Charities' Mamie George Community Center in Fort Bend County or Saint Theresa Catholic Church, Sugar Land, TX Building Fund Savings Account.
