He was predeceased by : his parents, Guadalupe Alvarez and Bertha Alvarez (Salinas); and his son Benjamin Alvarez. He is survived by : his wife Yolanda R. Alvarez; his children, Teresa Alvarez Herrera (Carlos) and Michael Alvarez; and his siblings, Lupe Alvarez, Jaime Alvarez, Evelyn Croft, Martin Alvarez (Anna), Robert Alvarez, Mary Alvarez Macias (Everardo) and Paul Alvarez. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
