She was predeceased by : her parents, James Orville Carson and Donna Rae Carson (Jensen); her husband Thomas Murphy; and her brothers, James Carson and Rick Carson.

She is survived by : her children, Todd Cox (Maria) of Lothian, Maryland, Christina Cox (Tami Franklin) of Gambrills and Nickole Darden (Tim) of Rowlett, Texas; and her grandchildren, Matthew Cox, Shelby Cox, Hailey Cox, Addison Cox-Franklin, Calista Cox-Franklin, Emilia Cox-Franklin, Nathan Darden and Greyson Darden. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
