He was predeceased by: his wife Frederica "Sugie" Lane Wachsmann Barker; and his sisters, Helen Sleuter and Betty Walker. He is survived by: his son Herbert B Barker III; his daughter-in-law Linda of Red Oak, TX; his daughter Jenny Barker of Rowlett, TX; his grandchildren, Kelly Scott (Justin Scott) of Kaufman, TX and Herbert B Barker IV (Caitlynne Barker) of Ennis, TX; and his siblings, Nancy Wright, Wally Barker and Johnny Barker.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home - Rowlett (3701 Rowlett Rd, Rowlett, TX 75088). A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (3900 Rowlett Rd, Rowlett, TX 75088).
