He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Blanton and Ruby Blanton (Blanks). He is survived by: his wife Judy Blanton; his sons, Richard Blanton and Bryan Blanton; his grandchildren, Amanda Blanton (Timothy Pappan) and Ashley Blanton (Sean Taylor); his siblings, Bert Blanton and Sherry Harris; and his sister-in-law Sharon Griffin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home - Rowlett (3701 Rowlett Rd, Rowlett, TX 75088).
