He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Parr and Ila May Parr; his son Herbert C. Parr; and his brothers, Robert, El Thomas, Harold and Ray Parr.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his son Michael Griffith (Alisha); his sisters, Ila Rankin (Walter) and Margie Rasmussen; and his sister-in-law Lucy Parr. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
