She was predeceased by: her parents, H. U. Denney and Leone Little Denney; her husband Roy F. Taylor; and her brothers, Tyre and Willis Denney.

She is survived by: her children, Mark S. Taylor (Nancy) of Rusk and Dawn Taylor Caskie (Allen); and her grandchildren, Tosh Taylor Cuellar, Cara Joy Cuellar, Ross Benjamin Cuellar, Leah Taylor Davis, Cale Denney Cuellar and Cameron Taylor. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.

“It was easy to love Joyce. I have very fond memories of her at Denney reunions through the years. We were cousins. I saw her at Sacred Harp singings as well. When I visited Henderson, TX, to sing in August, she would sometimes meet me there. I called her this past August, but she was just getting out of the hospital, and we could not meet.
