He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Shields and Daisy Shields. He is survived by: his wife Valarie Shields; his children, Andrea Brunton (David), Denise Diaz (David), Laurence Shields (Paige) and Neale Shields (Jaclyn); his siblings, Grace Tomlinson, Winston Shields and Dudley Shields; his grandchildren, Sean, Amiee, Alison, Seth, Speed, Eric, Abigail and Malachi; and his great grandchildren, Sean and Porche.
