He is survived by: his wife Nancy Blanton; his sons, David Wayne Blanton and Tommy Lee Blanton; his stepchildren, Nancy Garberich, Carmen Tina Colón and Julio Ceasar Colón (Jeffrey David Garberich); his son-in-law Jeffrey David Garberich (Julio Ceasar Colón); his grandchildren, Carlos Cesar Juarez-Colon, Victoria Rose Linn and Alexandra Rose Linn; his granddaughter-in-law Nicoletta Sophia Carvaruso; and his siblings, Roger Blanton (Karen), Harvetta Hayes, Linda Leger, David Root (Cordelia), Harvey Alan Blanton (Jan), Jodie (Bobby), Fran Hilton (Nick) and Phillip Root (Tara). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
