He was predeceased by: his son Duane Dean Connell; and his parents, Brooks Avery and Celestia Stockton Connell. He is survived by: his wife Freda Mae Connell; his daughters, Connie Gail Beam-Browder and Kari Elizabeth Corley; his brother Bobby Brooks Connell; and his sister-in-law Rixie Williams Connell. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
