He was predeceased by: his parents, F. E. Lambert and Mildred Lambert; his stepmother Nettle Lambert; his former wives, Sue Lambert and Vera Lambert; his son Carl Allen Lambert; and his siblings, Betty Fisher, Aileen Hester, Colleen Wagner and Glen Lambert.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Hines Lambert; his children, Teresa Sims (Darrell), Ernie Lambert, Jr. (Stacey) and Renea Bryan; his stepchildren, Lania Deer (Mark), Gary Baty (Mary), Alan Hines and Steven Hines (Sissy); his siblings, Mary Faye Cocke, Randall Lambert (Brenda), Anita Goolsby (Jimenez) and Mary Meeks (Stan); his grandchildren, Christie Phillips, Crystal Kersh, Hayden Lambert, Jonathan Bryan, Michael Bryan, Victoria Bryan, Jessica Deer, Blake Deer, Jeremy Baty, Faith Richerson (Peter) and Jeremy Hines; and his great grandchildren, Jaeleigh Jordan, Carson Phillips, Jayce Smith, Adam Smith, Scout, Ella, Scarlett and Alex Richerson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
