It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Hobby Smith of San Angelo, Texas, born in Hamlin, Texas, who passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hobson Smith and Beryl Owen Whitfield. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Irene Hays (Nita) of Year's Eve; and his children, Stephen Gregory Smith (Janet), Michael Dale Smith (Diane), Katherine Elaine Corases (Bill), Sharon Kay Rush (Jeff) and Shelley Sue McCannon (Ken). He is also survived by Five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, eleven nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
