He is survived by : his wife Carol Gay Hardgrave; his children, Jared Joseph (Delane Bennett) and Sutton; his siblings, Betty Nelms, Anne San Miguel (Manuel), Mary Lynn Nelms (Mickey), Donna Behringer (Jim) and Karl Bennett (Carla); his brother-in-law Bobby Allen; and his nieces and nephews, Kevin Allen (Arianna), Amber Allen, Casey Power (Luke), Coleman Dean Rabourn (Joanna), Cody Nelms (Robbie), Chris Nelms (Crystal), B. J. Behringer (Jessica), Matt Bennett (Molly), Mike Bennett, Ryan Hardgrave (Tracy) and Kristen Kaufman (Sam).

In lieu of flowers and plants, a donation to a local charity would be greatly appreciated.
