She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ira Rice and Maurine Rice; her husband James "Bob" Doss; her son Allen Shepard; her siblings, Lowie K. Rice and Rosemary Rice Mickler; her pet Pearl; her brother Jon Rice; her children, Wyatt Overton, Jessie Doss, James Doss and Iris Rose "Sissy" Hines (Steve); and her pet Gus. She was also cherished by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
